Octagonal House
There are a number of octagonal houses in Rhode Island, a style popularized in 1849 by Orson Squire Fowler. The house depicted here was originally the bandstand at the Boyden Heights Amusement Park. The bandstand was built in 1900. The park closed in 1910, and in 1916 the bandstand was converted to a house. It's still in use today.
